Networks can be formal, informal, in person or online! They are a great way to keep up to date with new information as well as what other businesses are up to. Sustainable business related networks will help you establish contacts with like minded organisations who will encourage you to keep moving on your journey.

In 2008, the Southland Sustainable Business Network (SSBN) was established. The SSBN:

  • recognises Southland businesses that have taken steps to be more sustainable; and
  • supports its members as they continue to improve their environmental performance.

Key activities of the SSBN include:

  • producing a quarterly newsletter (click below to read past issues); and
  • an annual networking event.

For more information on the SSBN or if you have a suggestion for a service the SSBN could provide, please email: fleur.rodway@es.govt.nz

The SSBN produces an email newsletter for our members. The newsletter includes local and international news, and innovations and opportunities (please note, in back issues of the newsletter competitions and training opportunities may no longer be available). The Sustainable Business Network provides practical advice and support to assist business with this challenge. We support our members with networking opportunities, programme delivery, training and sustainability assessments.
